Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative program designed to help students to understand the training of muscle memory in order to achieve their personal best in Classical Ballet.
Using a gym ball and resistance band, children begin to gain an understanding of different muscles groups and reinforces their technique and strength required for turn out and core stability. Developed in Australia by an experienced ballet teacher the programme is currently practised in over 40 countries worldwide and has produced excellent results.
All Upper Juniors, Intermediates & Seniors do PBT as part of their weekly ballet class.
What is Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) ?
Lyrical and Contemporary dance are expressive styles of dance that combines elements of several dance genres including Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Lyrical. Lyrical dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements.
Studying Lyrical and Contemporary helps the students to connect emotions with dance steps, resulting in a more connected and emotional performance. Lyrical & Contemporary is an important dance style in today's professional industry.
All children in Year 5 and above have the chance to study Lyrical.
